The MissionThis is a featured page

In 1998 began the first Sellassie-Antohin website, titled Haile Sellassie Family Web (www.angelfire.com/ak/sellassie). With only a handful a visitors a week, it was decidely small scale, our first foray into the web as a site to display the growing archive of writings, photos, stories collected over many years. Not soon after, this one webpage turned into a network of many websites that expanded on the legacy of Haile Sellassie. Sellassie-Antohin web presence developed rapidly, in great deal due to the expeditiousness and limitless creativity of the webmaster and primary engineer of these webpages (send your complements to analatolant :)

10 years later, there are half a dozen websites associated with Sellassie Web. The reason for this was that back in the late 90s/early 2000s, free domain hosting was a new and unstable business and since there was no knowing when a company would go under (i.e.theglobe.com in 2001), the websites were spread around to prevent a large loss of data in the event that should happen. We also were experimenting with themes, such as a Sellassie Cyber Univeristy (an education portal), Merkato ( a business website/merchant affiliates), Ethio CookBook (Ethiopian recipes), HIM Hyper-Biography (book on biographical writings on Haile Sellassie) -- just to name a few.

The goal is to find a way of condensing all these websites, under one, while still keeping the themes and sub-themes intact. One positive of being in the Internet all these years is that we've learned what things work, and which don't. So if you are a visitor to the webpages, please help us streamline the Haile Sellassie Family Web. Check out the notes and updates on the Home page for a more specific description of this project for 2008-2009.
